Adelphi – Adulting, Together®

Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 11 March 2026

Adelphi – Adulting, Together® is committed to making our digital spaces, services, and content as accessible and inclusive as possible.

Adelphi operates as an ecosystem supporting care-experienced young people, professionals, and organisations through digital resources, partnerships, training, and initiatives. We want everyone who engages with Adelphi - regardless of background, ability, device, or support needs - to feel able to access information with confidence and dignity.

Accessibility is not an add-on for us. It is a core part of how Adelphi is designed, delivered, and continually improved.

Our Commitment

We aim to ensure that the Adelphi website, digital platform, and associated online content are accessible to as many people as possible.

This includes people who:

• use assistive technologies such as screen readers
• navigate using a keyboard rather than a mouse
• experience cognitive, sensory, or neurodivergent differences
• access content on mobile, tablet, or older devices
• may feel overwhelmed by complex layouts or dense information

Wherever possible, we work towards meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, which are internationally recognised standards for digital accessibility.

What We’re Doing

We take practical and ongoing steps to improve accessibility across Adelphi’s digital spaces, including:

• designing content to be clear, structured, and easy to read
• using appropriate colour contrast and readable font sizes
• adding alternative text to images where appropriate
• structuring pages to support screen readers and keyboard navigation
• avoiding unnecessary complexity in layouts and language
• regularly reviewing content and user journeys through the Squarespace platform

Accessibility is considered as part of ongoing platform development and content updates, rather than treated as a one-off task.

Accessibility Tools on This Site

This website includes an accessibility widget and built-in accessibility features designed to support different ways of reading and interacting with content.

Using the accessibility icon available on the site, users may be able to:

• listen to page content using text-to-speech
• adjust text size and contrast
• navigate content using a keyboard
• enable additional accessibility adjustments depending on device settings

These tools are intended to provide additional support alongside the accessibility features available through modern browsers and assistive technologies.

The Adelphi Ecosystem

Accessibility considerations extend beyond the website itself.

As Adelphi continues to grow, we aim to ensure accessibility is considered across the wider ecosystem, including:

• the Adelphi website and digital platform
• resources, guides, and educational content
• partnerships and opportunities shared through the platform
• training sessions, workshops, and talks delivered through Adelphi
• any future digital tools or applications connected to Adelphi

We recognise that accessibility is an evolving area and remain committed to learning, listening, and improving over time.

Third-Party Platforms and Services

Some areas of Adelphi’s digital presence rely on third-party platforms or tools (such as Squarespace or integrated services). While we aim to select accessible platforms wherever possible, some accessibility features may depend on those providers.

Where limitations occur, we will seek reasonable alternatives or improvements wherever possible.

Feedback and Support

We welcome feedback from users, partners, and organisations.

If you experience any barriers accessing information, content, or services - or if you require information in an alternative format - please contact us:

Email:
hello@adelphi-app.co.uk

We will do our best to respond promptly and work with you to resolve any accessibility issues.

Ongoing Review

This Accessibility Statement will be reviewed periodically to reflect:

• platform updates
• new initiatives within the Adelphi ecosystem
• user feedback
• evolving accessibility standards and best practice

The most up-to-date version will always be available on our website.

In Summary

Adelphi – Adulting, Together® is committed to creating digital and professional spaces that are inclusive, accessible, and respectful.

Accessibility is a continuous journey, and we remain committed to improving alongside the people and communities we serve.
